I call my latest portrait, “El Vira”. The subject of this painting (oil on canvass as
always) is Ms. Jill Kelly, a very dear, sweet and beautiful young lady. I sold this painting the night it was unveiled
to the public. While I am glad it has
a new home where it is loved and appreciated, I miss it terribly nonetheless
because it is one of my all time favorites. |

“The
Bride” was painted from a scene following the wedding ceremonies during a
bright, sunny day. It
was a difficult painting to do since I was working from a photo taken by
someone else. I don’t like to do that,
but there are always exceptions. The bride and her dress were stunning in person and also on canvass. |

“Lula”
works at The Ordinary Restaurant in We
placed her in an 1800’s dress and set her up in front of the fireplace. The
painting now hangs on the rear wall of the restaurant. Stop
in, have a great meal and check out the painting. Of course, make sure you ask for Lula. |
