I took a photo of Stalker Castle while on a Scottish vacation with my family and decided it would make a great painting. I hope you agree.
In my Brown County Series I begin with photographing selected people, places and scenes from the Brown County, Indiana area These paintings are normally started with the canvass tacked to a flat panel. The canvass is taped off to the desired dimensions with some allowances for re-stretching later on. These pieces are done in swift, bold strokes. I stretch the canvass onto standard stretcher bars and do the final detail and highlight work.	“Hoosier Nest”
