I get many requests from people curious as to how I take
my photographs. I normally start by taking approximately 100 pictures of
the model in a casual setting wearing her normal street clothing. For this shooting hair and makeup is not done
professionally but only as the model would normally look on a daily basis. I take these photos to see how the model looks from my
camera. From here I decide how I want
to do her hair, makeup, pose and costume. I refer to this session as the “Preliminary Shoot” The model here is Kimberly, who I chose because I
thought she would make a beautiful Southern Belle. |

I then have the hair and makeup done and place the model
in clothing more suitable to classic modeling. Again I take over 100 photos during this session. I try to make sure we wind up with material
suitable for the model to include in her portfolio. I refer to this session as the “Pre-Shoot” |

In the Main Photo Session we wind up with the finished
look. In these 3 photos we have Kimberly with her hair and
make up done and wearing full costume. |
