This painting  is a portrait of Ms. Jill Kelly, of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jill is an absolute sweetheart and of course an absolute beauty.  Of all the many models I have worked with over the years, Jill is definitely one of my favorites.

This painting was sold on the night of its unveiling to Mrs. Dene Ward of Indianapolis.

Dene dearly loved this portrait and hung it in her home with pride and joy.  Unfortunately, within a year of purchasing "El Vira" she succumbed to cancer.

Her husband, Mr. Bob Ward, allowed me to repurchase this painting after her death.

"El Vira" now hangs in my living room and will never be sold again. May you enjoy "El Vira" forever, Dene my friend. "

A portrait of Lula Couch, Nashville, Indiana.

Lula works at The Ordinary Restaurant in Nashville and is a very dear friend of mine.

For the photo shoot we placed her in an 1800’s dress and sat her in front of the fireplace of the restaurant.

The painting now hangs on the rear wall.

Stop in, have a great meal and check out the painting.  Of course, make sure you ask for Lula.

Miss Shelbi Oakley, Anderson, Indiana sits on the steel bridge over White River between Muncie and Anderson, Indiana.

This portrait was painted for Shelbi’s family just prior to her leaving home to join the US Air Force.

Many thanks go  to my friend, Shan, for her help in  making this portrait possible.

It was during the making of this painting that Shan learned how meticulous I am when it comes to portraits LOL

Anytime I a need assistance with creating a work of art, she is the first person I call on to help me.

Shelbi was one of the most photogenic people I have ever worked with.

A portrait of Ms. Nicolle Gonzales. This painting was done on a commission, but I include it here as one of my personal favorites.

Often times the background of a painting takes more time to paint than does the subject. The pillow she is resting her arm on took by itself over 20 hours for me to paint.
