I spent countless hours surfing the internet worldwide to find pictures of kids I wanted to paint.

I wanted a cross section of nationalities, ethnics and races of children who touched my heart. I hope they touch yours as well.

$299

I must again acknowledge and give thanks to all those who helped me in making this project come to life.  My friend, Shan, who I am deeply indebted to, along with Dawn, Michael, Meagan and Morgan.

Without each of you making your contribution this exhibit would have never happened.  There is no way I could have possibly painted, stretched and framed all of these paintings without your help.  Thank you. my friends.

"Troy"
32x40

$6,700

When I first met Troy I knew he was also one of those people I just had to put on canvass.

Wearing his vintage WW II clothes we did the photo shoot on the steps in front of the courthouse in Nashville, Indiana.

I will leave it to the viewer to decide what this old veteran had on his mind as he lifts his head towards the sky.

200 years from now this piece will be hanging in a museum.  This picture does not do justice to his painting.  It is an astonishing work of art.

Intruders"
72x60

$9,800

This large five feet by six feet portrait is of Mr. General Grant, Cherokee Elder, Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation, Cherokee, North Carolina.

Sitting on his horse, Possum, deep in the Smoky Mountain National Park, General is wearing authentic Cherokee clothing handed down to him from his grandfather.

When I said "large", I wasn't kidding.

You can see just how big "Intruders" is.

For some odd reason I am attracted to doing large paintings.

"Ginny"
36x30

$3,800

Ginny Mathis is an adorable young lady and always has a smile on her face.  I saw her for the first time in a restaurant in Beanblossom, Indiana and knew I wanted to paint her portrait.

The photo for this painting was shot at the same time in The Ordinary as the one for Lula.

We placed Ginny in period-correct clothing with appropriate toys and background props.  She was playing with her vintage doll when this impromptu photo was snapped.  I could not resist the temptation to paint it.
